I settled on the LOC-IV for my first, but had to wait until it was in stock at Buyrocketmotors and pounce on it before they sold out again. Other stores are still out, other L1 capable kits out of stock. Can't find little parts like plastic rivets, motor adapters, electronics or 38mm reload cases. I really need a video on what reload hardware to get for my first as I barely know anything about it. Just getting into mid power also with my first build bought off of ebay and a couple Estes E capable kits close behind.
SBR has some nice L1 kits and great build videos, but sadly the L1 capable stuff is out of stock there too. I'm going to check out sone of your commenters recommendations. It's a two-part adhesive that you mix together. The two parts then react chemically to form a hard substance with a strong mechanical bond.

But it's messy and toxic, and so extra care needs to be exercised when using it. You don't want to get it on your skin if you can avoid it, (best to wear gloves), and using large quantities can even be a respiratory hazard, so you might want to open a window. The Rocket N00bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10678231171321807386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5979349821452260961.post-89593485307079138562022-08-07T12:08:47.294-04:002022-08-07T12:08:47.294-04:00Is epoxy just glue?

I’m not even all that big a fan of the BB design but my Super BB is one of my best flying rockets. I tend to build fairly light but I’d never use an Estes D12 - the flights I’ve done over an E12 have been ok (light winds and a rail are your friend!) but the D12 just doesn’t have enough of a kick for a SBB. What I’m really looking forward to is trying out one of the 24x70mm QJets - the QJ D22 in an adapter should be the great small field motor for the SBB - approximately 400 ft apogee fits my field size at the nearby park perfectly. The QJ E26 will probably push it higher but I like the safety margin off the rod with the faster burning D motor.Openroadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12277616598984850719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5979349821452260961.post-66599299117532307662021-12-20T09:34:45.901-05:002021-12-20T09:34:45.901-05:00Nice job!Nice job!Dinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04832513408628593654noreply@blogger.com
